Logstash 2.4 to logstash 6.2

I have elk6.2 already running.
I want to read logs from aix system.
For Lsf to send logs to logstash, I need to use logstash 2.4.
Can I run one instance of LS2.4 for logstash-forwarder and send it's output to LS6.2?

Is this possible?
