As a part of my project for school I'm currently finishing the setup of our Nodes and tested out some integrations and connections between Elasticsearch and our servers.
My systems are running as virtual machines in VMWare.
I also have logstash integrated on a separate Node.
My question now was what the minimum system requirements are for one logstash node since my logstash instance is right on the border with his CPU Load, my current specs (as a test) are:
For a basic Logstash node, your setup with 2 cores and 8 GB RAM is a decent starting point, but the system requirements can vary depending on the volume of data you're processing and the complexity of your pipelines.
Additionally, you might want to explore the Elastic free trial for your proof of concept (POC) to test with more resources or a cloud-based setup.
