Logstash process config

I have a 9 node cluster with

Master Nodes = 3
Data Nodes = 4
Client Nodes = 2

so if i want to run Logstash process should they be communicating with Client Only ? similar to the consumers point to Client Node to process any queries? my current load is around 100m inserts/ day
