Logstash takes a long time to load

From first line in main function until printing of "Sending Logstash's logs to.." takes 35 seconds on:

  1. windows 7
  2. java version "1.8.0_161"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_161-b12)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.161-b12, mixed mode)
    3, loaded with logstash.bat - no parameters

if i give it a config file it takes some more time till it starts parsing the logs

is this normal?

Yep. That's normal. Some of our more advanced pipelines take 3-5 minutes to load.
