Lucene search features in elastic search

(Loic) #1

Hi,
I've just discovered elastic search and it seems very nice.
I used to use Lucene via Hibernate Search. I really like Lucene search
capabilities , like approximation (Levenshtein distance) , phonetic
search (Double Metaphone) or synonyms search.

Are all the features avalaible when we use Elastic Search on top of
Lucene?

Thanks,

Loic

Most of Lucene features are exposed in elasticsearch, hard to answer such a broad question.

My question was mainly about approximation (like Levenshtein ),
phonetic
search and synonyms.

Are all these featuresexposed in elasticsearch?

Thanks,

Loic

All except for synonyms, which are planned.
