Metricbeat in customized index

Am planning to use metricbeat via logstash, if i do that will mapping can be done automatically orelse i have to grok it? can i push to customized index and use the default metricbeat index

I am now using metricbeat via logstash, i created a seperated index example: test-metricbeat. now in logstash i have configured to push the data into test-metricbeat. - it is successful and doing fine.

my doubt is: can i now visualize the test-metric beat index on the dashboard created by default {metricbeat -host overview}

I think you will need to edit the dashboard to use the new index pattern.
