Missing /config file and yml files after new installation

Hi,

I know very little about all this stuff. Im trying to learn form scratch and after a long drawn out day of installing the products logstash, elasticsearch and kibana. I am now stuck. Maybe this is not an issue but I have a missing folder /config. I am looking to configure the yml files to setup a sample.conf file to send windows events into logstash, then elasticsearch. I read in on of the many websites I have visited along the way, that there are some files in /config that need to be edited. But I cannot locate a config folder or any of the yml files that are supposed to be within this folder. Have I not installed something ? Do I need to run something to create these folders ?

Thanks

What OS are you on and how did you install Logstash, if you can link us to the instructions you followed it would be awesome

Hi Mark,

Not sure if you have received an earlier reply but I think I may not have sent it.

I have ubuntu 14.01 as the OS and I installed the products using a youtube video with is as follows, check out 10min 30 secs into the video. I followed those steps.
