Is it possible to monitor the health/availability of the SFTP server using elastic Stack?
I don't think so, neither Logstash or Beats support SFTP (or SSH) as protocols. It might be worth creating a feature request against the Beats repo though, it seems like it's something Metricbeat should be able to do.
