I have a snapshot of my data.
I'd like to tar up the files and move them elsewhere.
Will that be safe?
If I just re-create the repository on a new machine, then extract those files there.
Will this break my snapshot?
It should be just fine as long as you keep the exact same structure and the same files...
Hope so.
I'm hoping there isn't any tight coupling between the snapshot and the repository.
After a series of re-dos, and rebooting, the restore has worked.
