Hi,

can you post the full log? The line you posted is logged as INFO and is normal for a controlled shutdown. The real problem is probably some lines above.

Thanks, so it does not start due to a failing bootstrap check, which can e.g. a wrong setting or an out of memory error. Can you post the top of the exception (all messages are also written to logs/elasticsearch.log in you installation directory)?

Hey I have copied the entire log from the logs/elasticsearch.logs
Please let me know what's the issue?

The failing error seems to be:

[2020-03-18T15:23:24,981][ERROR][o.e.b.Bootstrap ] [prabhav-VirtualBox] Guice Exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied ("java.lang.RuntimePermission" "accessClassInPackage.jdk.internal.vm.annotation")

which is an incompatibility between java 13 and es 7.1. According to our support matrix: https://www.elastic.co/support/matrix#matrix_jvm we do not support this combination.

You can either upgrade elasticsearch or downgrade the jvm.

Will try doing that
