[newbie] Going from Curator to ILM

Hi,

I'm rather new with Elastic and one of the things on our to-do list is to configure ILM on our ELK stack and stop the use of Curator. I've read some stuff about and watched howto's on using ILM, but are there any considerations and things to look out for ?
Or a best practices ?

Best practises are really implementation of our typical shard sizes - 30 to 50 gig - and the use of hot/warm/cold (or any combo of that).

Can I use Curator and ILM next to each other for a while ? Something tells me that's not a good idea :wink:

No it's not a good idea, you are likely to run into conflicts.
