Not getting much help

Hi ,

Im trying to do proof of concept for my company. I have been hearing about elasticsearch for longtime and I thought it might work for our requirement. I spend a lot of time going through Elasticsearch documentation which is lacking in some aspect but the most disappointing thing I have experienced is I have never gotten any answer nor feedback to any of my submitted questions despite being straight forward question and supported with code and screenshot when applicable.

If some one think Im adoing it incorrectly or submitting irreleveant question to the wrong topic please let me know as Im still a beginner with Elastic.

I think that never is a bit too much here. You got 2 answers on 6 posts and I'm not including this one.

There are some tips on how to ask a meaningful question which might help here:

But please be aware as well that most of the community is probably taking some break during the end of year / new year celebrations... That also could explain why you are not getting answers...

Understood. The only responses I got are the one from you which I appreciate your input but it was not addressing the question about Semantic_text inner hits retrieval. The other one is completely irrelevant because the person was asking me to upgrade to 8.17 which I already have because how I would be using Semantic_text without having the latest. mentioning the 8.16 was a mistake.

In that other one you very specifically wrote

"I have downloaded version 7.17.26 on my windows 11 machine . I could not install 8+ version because I was getting an error trying to start the ES instance but that is another problem."

and did not reply to the

"You should really get 8.17 up and running"

suggestion. As you didn't reply to that update, that is likely why that thread got no further response.

I know that in a completely different thread you did mention you updated to 8.x, but you cant expect people, volunteers who are trying to be helpful, to track your setups and progress across multiple random threads.

btw, if you really want professional services support, then I am sure Elastic would be happy to help you. If it's a hobby/side project, then you need to do most of the learning and heavy lifting yourself.

Initially I struggled to download the latest version because I was getting an error when trying to launch Elastic so I switched between different versions until I figured out what the issue is and upgraded to the latest, however that is one of many post what about the others:
