One Node Cluster Performance Problem

Hi,

I analyze IIS logs. Currently i have one node with an i7-4770K and 16GB Ram. Elasticsearch gets 8 GB Heap.

I have a monthly index and one shard without replicas.
Size of the indices are: 40-60 Million Documents and 15-23 per index.

I get 100% CPU utilisation and regular timeouts at visualizations etc. Is this simply too much for one node with these specs to handle ?
