Open Canvas image url in a new tab

I'm working on a Canvas project that has a Kibana image that I pulled from the https://www.elastic.co/brand link. Appreciate Elastic providing that for us. Now I've used the Markdown element to add an image and then connect a url to it. Is there a way to set the default properties of this to open in a new tab? Seems like I might be able to make Chrome default to this but it'd be nice if it would open another tab for users that dont have anything presets.

@Ryan_Downey, unfortunately there isn't a way to do this at the moment. Can you open up a feature request so we can track and prioritize adding this functionality?

Brandon,

Can do, will try to put this in today at some point. Appreciate the quick response.

Ryan
