We are mostly using Elastic APM with native elastic apm agents (java mostly)
One of the best perks is that we can also do correlation with logs which are already mostly in ECS format.
Now, problem which we are facing is that we are also using Zipkin in our cloud/kubernetes systems because some of microservices don't work with elastic apm agents and also because zipkin was used separately and because of some historical reasons.
Now, we would like to put everything under the same Elastic APM hood..
We dont know if there is possibility to keep zipkin agents as is and use OpenTelemetry collector which would forward events to ELK or we need to replace zipkin agents with ELK APM agents where possible or use Opentlelemetry agents instead which can send events natively directly to APM.
Second issue i don't understand are logs..
We consider ELK APM + ECS log correlation awesome.. is this possible with Zipkin and/or Opentelemetry agents?
