Is there somewhere a summary of which distributions are supported by the
public repos? The documentation says "We also have repositories available
for APT and YUM based distributions", and gives an example for Debian
(which I didn't test yet), but no indication for eg. Ubuntu 14 (which I
tried and failed to get to work), and listing the repos seems to be
forbidden.
The very nice support matrix (https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions/matrix)
hints that official debs should work on U12/14, it would be great if the
public repos made that easy on all supported platforms.
Ubuntu is based on Debian, so you can use the apt repos.

Ok, in my first tests I had tried to change the URL to something
with Ubuntu, and that wasn't needed. Thanks Mark!
So I got the following repos to reply to me:
deb http://packages.elasticsearch.__org/elasticsearch/1.5/debian
<http://packages.elasticsearch.org/elasticsearch/1.5/debian> stable main
deb http://packages.elasticsearch.__org/elasticsearch/1.4/debian
<http://packages.elasticsearch.org/elasticsearch/1.4/debian> stable main
deb http://packages.elasticsearch.__org/logstash/1.4/debian
<http://packages.elasticsearch.org/logstash/1.4/debian> stable main
But no such luck for Kibana 4. Do you know if Kibana is packaged
differently?
