sorry for dropping the ball on your question. We are working on adding support for asyncio, there is an open PR (https://github.com/elastic/apm-agent-python/pull/252). Unfortunately, we had to de-prioritize work on it a bit over the last few months, but I hope to pick up work on it soon again.
