Query highlighting in dashboard

Is there any way to get matching query terms highlighted in a dashboard. Basically, I want the same highlighting functionality of the Discover mode to be available in a dashboard. That is, when I type a query in query box, I want relevant matching terms to be highlighted in a "Search" visualization that is part of the dashboard.

It indeed doesn't appear that highlighting works on the embedded search on the Kibana dashboard. It is a reasonable request - would you be willing to add this as an issue in the Kibana repo, when you get a chance? https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues
