Reading synonyms from a remote file

Hello,

I would like to store the synonyms file in a remote repository (a GCS repository for example) and use it to configure synonyms in Elasticsearch. Is that possible ?

I checked the official documentation and it only mentions that the synonyms file path should be relative to the config path but does not mention anything about remote synonym files.

Hi Ons,

I'm sorry to say this is not possible out of the box at the moment. I heard about third party plugins doing something along those lines but cannot comment on neither their functionality or maturity, but would be interested myself of how other folks solve this understandable need.
