I have a week old log index which is growing in size while the document count remains the same. Can someone explain how this can be?

Are you updating documents?
No, this is a backend for logging so documents don't change.
Merging can cause some changes while doing the merge but after sometime it should not change anymore.
Can you share more details about you are seeing?
How do you measure that?
I'm just noticing this in kopf. I have a curator job which optimizes indices over a day old so I'm surprised that there's still merging activity going on with such an old index...
But can you share what you are exactly seeing?
