Remote Ubuntu installation: no automatic security configuration

Hello,

I'm trying to remotely install Elasticsearch and Kibana on an Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS server as described in the Elasticsearch Guide. Unfortunately the automatic security configuration during install does simply not happen – neither is any security configured, nor is the security autoconfiguration information printed, not during the installation and also not on first start. (I'm familiar with the process only on a Mac, where this takes place on the first start.)

After having tried for a few hours to configure security manually with help from different parts of the Elasticsearch Guide and this forum, I'd wish I could just start over and be pointed to a simple mistake that enables the standard security auto-configuration.
Any ideas or similar encounters out there?
