Removing index template from ILM policy

Hi ,
I am relatively new to elastic search and using 6.8 .
I am using jaegertracing with elastic search. I created an ILM policy and added jaeger template to it.
Now , i want to remove template and add individual index to the policy ? How do i remove template from ILM policy ?
