Replicating legacy indexes via ccr

I have couple of questions regarding CCR.

We have setup ccr between 2 ES clusters, version 7.17.0

  1. How do we migrate the existing set of indexes from the leader cluster to follower (considering follower cluster has been newly made). Creating the auto-follower pattern replicates when there is a new index created on the leader. Do we have to manually create all the follower indexes first time? The leader has 1000 indexes.

  2. We also want to replicate the security index so that all the role mappings are available to the follower. The leader index has .security-6 index and follower has .security-7 index name
