This question was proposed a couple years ago (here) and I'm curious if an enhancement was ever made. I am having almost the exact problem the OP discussed: the inability to visualize a nested geo_point (i.e., coordinates).
Anyone able to get this working??

Nested fields are not currently supported by Kibana. There is an issue to track this here. https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/1084
