Safe restart of clustered

I need some help for the safe restart of elasticsearch. I found this article in the forums https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/guide/current/_rolling_restarts.html. I am looking for an alternative way to restart clustered nodes to avoid running shards failing.
