Hello, we're looking at implementing elastic search on to our primary web application, but were wondering whether it was possible for elastic search to index other web apps and return them in the results from our primary web application?
Elasticsearch will return whatever you indexed. I'm not sure I fully understood the question.
Probably more me than you. So effectively you could build an application like Google with it and as long as you could index various sites, you could return the search results?
Yes.
It can be even easier with site search which has everything OOTB including crawling...
