Send bulk inserts to dedicated elasticsearch client nodes?

Currently my logstash instances are pointing directly to the elasticsearch data nodes.

Are there much gain to deploy dedicated elasticsearch client nodes to handle the inserts?
I imagine there is some benefit but dont know if it is worth the effort.
What is the experience of this community?

Depends on your load really.

load is all relative. 1.5TB per day before counting replicas
