Snapshort backups Failed to complete action: snapshot. <type 'exceptions.KeyError'>: 'indices'

Hi Team,

My snapshot backups were failing with below error few times and when i enable debug mode it is getting success and not able to find out what is causing the issue.

Failed to complete action: snapshot. <type 'exceptions.KeyError'>: 'indices'

could any one suggest is there any solution to avoid this error

Which version of elasticsearch and curator are you using? Do you see any error messages in the logs on the master node of elasticsearch?

This error suggests that no indices were found based on the filters in place, or something along those lines. Without more of the surrounding log lines I can’t offer more certainty.
