Snapshot repository backup - Indices - Content

Hi,

I would like If someone can give me a brief explanation of what represents each of the content that stored during a snapshot repository backup.
I can see in my storage bucket the following type of files and folders:

index-2
index-3
index.latest
indices/
meta-.....
meta-.....
snap-....
snap-....

Each time I create a snapshot backup adds a new meta, snap and index entry.
Can you please explain what those represent?

I know that the folder indices contains all the indexes. But are those meta and snap important?
Can delete them or keep important data for a restore process?

Everything within the repository is important so, no, you should not be thinking about deleting or otherwise modifying any of the files in there.
