Snapshot with NFS file system

Hi all,
can you confirm to me that if I want to take a snapshot of a specific index I must mount a NFS file system on each node of my Elastic Cluster?
I mean, currently my cluster is composed by 3 nodes (Master+Data roles). can just one node recovery all the information and create snapshot on its way?

All nodes in the cluster need access to the same shared storage.

Is there any official or specific guild to follow it or can go alone?
