Software RAID0 vs JBOD

Hi,

I have found multiple articles regarding Elasticsearch to use RAID0 for big Elasticsearch cluster rather than JBOD. I was wondering if it is recommended to use Software RAID0. We are running ES cluster on the cloud (Azure) and I am not sure if it is a good idea to use Software RAID for Elasticsearch. It looks like it is also implemented by Elasticsearch to use RAID0 on Azure, but I am not sure how stable it acts on a heavy indexing application production environment.
