Suggestion to Deploy Azure Elasticsearch (Self-Managed) deployment

Hello Team, We have requirement to deploy Elasticsearch (Self-Managed) marketplace solution in our Azure environment, Need clarification on couple of doubts.

  1. Is it possible to use our own OS image instead of default.
  2. If we use marketplace OS image, Who will be the responsible to patch these servers ?
  3. Planning to integrate with existing virtual network, any guidance on this ?
  4. Is it possible to harden these servers according to our standards ?
  5. Can we install our enterprise monitoring solutions ?
  6. Best practices / guidelines to deploy Azure Elasticsearch (Self-Managed).

Appreciate your support on this.

Thank you.

Hi @verma.s, please take a look at the Azure Marketplace and Azure Resource Manager template documentation as it answers some of your questions, particularly on best practices and guidelines.

No - the ARM template is configured only to deploy to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS images in the Azure VM gallery, published by Canonical.

Since the VMs are deployed into your own subscription and resource group, you would be responsible for managing the VMs.

Check out the docs on networking.

Hope this helps!

Hello @forloop, Thank you so much for guidance on this.. I will check these resources.
