Sum of distinct values in field

Hi..
I am trying to sum values of 'Field 2' as per unique value stored in another 'Field 1'

index _color

Field 1-------------------Field 2
Red-------------------------------2
Orange-------------------------5
Red-----------------------------2
Green-------------------------3
Green-----------------------3
Orange--------------------5
Red------------------------2

So my answer should be 2+5+3=10
How to do that....
