Synonym graph token filter backed by Elastic index

Hi,

I want to use the synonym graph token filter but ideally have the data stored in an Elasticsearch index so that it can be easily updated and modified.

My understanding of the code is that it reads the data from a file. Does anyone know an implementation which reads from an index instead?
