Timelion: divide by number of days in the selected range?

I would like to have an average value in the selected time range. For that purpose I would take the value I have (say number of documents), divide it by the number of days and display it as single value. Is it possible with timelion?

i am not aware of a way to do it with timelion (if you don't know the number of days in advance)

in 5.4 we'll introduce bucket pipeline aggregations which will be able to do just that.

Timelion has a function called scale_interval that allows you to scale each bucket based on the time range it covers. Might this be useful?
