To collect logs from remote server

Hi all,

I have a elk stack on my server which consists of elasticsearch,beats and kibana. Now I need to collect logs from a remote server using filebeat. What all configurations are need to done on the elk node and remote node. Kindly help.

Install Filebeat on the remote server and point it to you Elasticsearch cluster.

Working now.

I cant see any data stored under my /var/lib/elasticsearch. Where does elasticsearch stores the data collected? Please help
