To get the ingestion rate to elasticsearch cluster

Hi Team,

We are deploying fluentd and Elasticsearch in the k8s environment, fluentd is sending data to Elasticsearch and we are monitoring Elasticsearch metrics using the Prometheus plugin. We want to calculate the ingestion rate to Elasticsearch cluster from fluentd, Can you please help to get the ingestion rate to Elasticsearch from fluentd.

I suspect you would need to calculate this based on the stats for relevant indices exported through the Prometheus plugin, but I do unfortunately not have any detailed knowledge or experience with this.
