Hello everyone, is it possible to upgrade my ELK to 7.2 without having to re install everything? the upgrade assistant only works for major versions like 8.0.

Yes, you can do a rolling upgrade from 7.0 to 7.2. There are a few breaking changes noted for 7.1 but all of them look like deprecations, and there's one listed for 7.2 which should not impact you unless your config was already broken. Otherwise 7.2 is completely compatible with 7.0.
