Upgrading Elasticsearch from 1.3.7 to 7.3.2

Hi,

Is this any risk if we upgrading elasticsearch from 1.3.7 to 7.3.2 using Reindex API

You will need to update/create mappings/index templates before using reindex from remote to copy data from the 1.3.7 cluster to the 7.3.2 one. Am not sure it will work against such an old version but it is worth trying.

I have never tried upgrading with such a gap in versions and know nothing about your use case, so it is hard to tell. You basically need to reindex your data into a new one from the old one. Depending on which features you use the change to mappings and index templates may range from reasonably simple to quite complex.
