Upstream journalbeat project - how do I build this?

I've noticed that there's a new beats project in the repo called journalbeat .

It seems to be a completely new project that's similar in functionality to this one. However, I can't yet find any documentation for it.

Will this get regular releases? Will I be able to download binaries for it from the download page in the future?

We plan to release journalbeat as a new experimental beat with 6.5.0, by then we will offer downloadable binaries and documentation.

In the meantime, if you want to try it you can download the code and build it with make from the journalbeat directory. Build requires systemd development headers (libsystemd-dev).

Configuration is pretty easy with the reference file, specially if you are used to filebeat or other beats.
