Use variables / user input for offset in time series builder or timelion?

Hi, timelion and time series builder are offering an offset function to visualize today's and let's say last week's values on top of each other for comparing.

In the past I wrote an external HTML page which calculates the offset of two dates via Java script and then it builds a very very very etc. long url to build the dashboard with the given offset. that was on 6.2.4.

Is there now a better way to use user input to set the offset?

If not I would really really appreciate such feature.
We also used that feature to compare time series of different test runs to compare our loadtests.

Nothing like that exists today but it sounds like an interesting idea. Please file a feature request on our Github repo!
