Visualize->Controls->Range slider support for date

Hi, I knew that in Kibana 6.1, interactive input on dashboard is introduced. (i.e. the drop-downs and range-sliders, see https://www.elastic.co/blog/interactive-inputs-on-kibana-dashboards). However, based on the examples I've seen and my own try-out, it seems like the range slider only supports numeric fields, e.g. integer... (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

Is there a way to allow the range slider work on "date" field?

Yes. Range slider is a numeric field. Having a date-range slider is an interesting thought, though!
