Warm data tier nodes are being queried in recent data queries

Hello everyone! :slight_smile:

I have added a warm data node in my Elastic Cloud deployment.
I have also configured the relevant ILM policies to use the Warm phase accordingly.

The problem is that the warm nodes are being queried also when I query data from the last 15 minutes, making them much slower to respond.

When I stop routing requests to the warm nodes in the Elastic Cloud dashboard, queries are being returned quickly.

Is there anything else needed to be configured so that the warm nodes will only be queried for old data (as configured in the ILM of the index)?

We spoke in a separate channel, there's something odd about the new node's roles, I advised opening a support case to investigate further.
