What are the minimum nodes required for Elastic 5 cluster

Hi,

I have upgraded my cluster from Elastic 4 to Elastic 5.
I have observed that my cluster is not coming until all the nodes comes up with elastic process.
In my old version, i was able to bring up cluster with minimum one node.
but whereas in ELK 5 all the nodes are waiting to come up and then cluster starts.
Please advise.

Hi @rajkumar.m,

What are the minimum nodes required for Elastic 5 cluster

It is perfectly fine to have a cluster with only a single node in it.
Also, request you to be more details(setup details, error/warnings, etc.) so that I can give you a proper solution to it.

we have observed that we were unable to run curl command in order to get the cluster details after the elastic started on first node. i was able to see cluster info only after all the nodes joins.
and when we start second node, we see the below messages.
[INFO ][o.e.x.m.e.l.LocalExporter] waiting for elected master node [{XX.XXXXXXXXX}] to setup local exporter [default_local] (does it have x-pack installed?)
