What is the best way to increase storage capacity?

Hello Elasticians !

I need to add more data to Elastic and didn't found clear information on Google or forums

So, what is for you the best way to achieve this and what are the impact ?

  • extend actual disk ?

  • attach another disk ?

  • add more nodes ? (I heard that if I do that, I will have to use the same disk size than existing nodes have, you agree with that ?)

Do I wil have to reindex ou something like that impacting the production cluster ?

Either extend the disks on the node(s) or add more nodes.

You do not need to reindex.
