Im new to Elastic. Im wondering if anyone has successfully used Elastic alongside a ZFS Dataset in order to perform filesystem searches, and if so, what might that look like, and would it a user-friendly solution for non-technical users?

Can you explain better what you are looking for?

Elasticsearch does not search on file systems or mounted points, it is only able to search on data that is ingested in the tool and available on its indices.

Well perhaps you could use the fscrawler + Elasticsearch

Thanks for your reply. I looking to be able to search a large filesystem similar to what a user might do with Google Desktop search.
