Windows service 7.2 fails to stop

After properly getting Elasticsearch 7.2 to start and its service to install I noted that it was set to Manual. I told it to start and services.msc showed it as running. When I elected to stop the service I got an error message that said "...If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 1."

Please advise.
