Winlogbeat not writing logs to extract path

I extracted winlogbeat to the following location
C:\Program Files (x86)\winlogbeat-7.11.1-windows-x86_64
when I install the service and start the service, i dont see any logs witten to logpath
C:\Program Files (x86)\winlogbeat-7.11.1-windows-x86_64\logs\

According to this link for extracted files (from zip) Directory layout | Winlogbeat Reference [7.13] | Elastic
Do i need to explicitly say {extract.path}/logs
