Wrong index selection by Kibana for weekly indexes

I have a weekly index of the form [events-]YYYY.W against which I am trying
to plot graphs over Kibana (Kibana 3).

On querying for last 1 week of data, the indexes are chosen wrongly. As per
the below diagram, the index that is chosen is 'events-2014.1' instead of
'events-2015.1' resulting the graph to have missing information of the
index 'events-2015.1'

On changing the 'Timestamping' from week --> day, the indexes are chosen
correctly. What might be the issue, am I doing anything wrong?
Will that be fine to make the 'Timestamping' value to day, and things works
perfectly?
