2 agents on a host with dual boot?

I read that you cannot run 2 elastic agents on 1 system, but I am assuming this is referring to 2 agent's on a single running operating system..

What about the situation where a desktop PC has 2 drives, one Windows and one Linux? The PC will obviously boot only 1 OS at the same time, and I can run the agent as root/Admin on both operating systems. Both would only run when the other does not and look at different files. Would that work, since only 1 is running at a time? I suppose both would be different policies, how would that manifest itself in my fleet server agent overview?

Kind regards

This works, these are 2 different systems independent from each other.

Thanks for confirming @leandrojmp

Do you know how it will it manifest itself in my fleet overview if both operating systems have an identical host name?

Each installation will have a unique id, if the hostname is the same you will see the hostname twice in the list of agents, but one online and the other offline.
